2021: Generosity in Motion
While change seemed to be the only constant this year, at Pillows and Plenty we can say that it was driven by generosity. We share the many ways that we have reached out to help youth in need in our community below. Thank YOU!
Right now, our focus is to provide assistance to foster youth who are readying for emancipation. Working with the Foster Care Project in Pasadena, Pillows and Plenty has donated, so far, 11 brand new winter jackets for boys who are currently in foster care or transitioning into adulthood. In 2022, it's our mission to help more foster kids.

Like we've done for years, we'll turn your funds into brand new items that go directly to youth that need them the most. All of the items we give are NEW, never used and never worn. When a future is in the balance, we believe this is the best way to open doors for new beginnings.
Pillows and Plenty was founded 17 years ago and has helped more than 6,000 children in need. Your help allows us to restore self-pride in a child and brighten their outlook for the future during difficult times. One by one, we all rise.
From all of us at Pillows & Plenty, we extend blessings of warmth and gratitude to you and yours for 2022.
Thank you for joining us in making a difference locally.
With gratitude,
Stephanie Rizzardi

2021 began with a donation of pillows from Philip Claussen of SLEEPHIX and, thanks to many of you who answered our call for matching new pillowcases, we were able to deliver 360 pillow sets to youth in need in our area to numerous foster care programs and organizations.
Another generous donation of pillows from Nick Johnson of Simply Sova allowed us to help an additional 1,200 children. 600 pillows were distributed to families at Kathy's Cool Cuts, a back-to-school event for children in the community of Azusa (where we also distributed 178 pre-packed backpacks). 300 pillows went to the La Casa de San Gabriel and to the Holy Trinity Church in La Puenta, CA.
Pillows were distributed this year through various groups including Teens4Teens (Los Angeles), My Friend's Place (Hollywood), Homeless Youth Essential Services (Hollywood), Five Acres (Altadena), Bourne Shelter (Altadena), Learning Works Charter School (Pasadena), PUSD-Families in Transition Program (Pasadena), and Hathaway-Sycamores (Pasadena).
One of the highlights of the year was helping a family of four from Baldwin Park after the School District reached out to us. They lost everything in a house fire and we were able to provide them with a large box of pillows, bags of new clothes and gift cards for the parents and their two young daughters.
