A new school year
In preparation for the 2016 – 2017 school year, we purchased new backpacks and school supplies for the La Casa preschool students and their siblings (ages 4– 18). Each backpack was packed with age appropriate school supplies including pencils, pens, scissors, notebook paper, pencil sharpeners, rulers, glue sticks and folders. We also gave the same items to students chosen by the principal from La Rosa Elementary School in Temple City, CA. A total of 122 students received new backpacks and school supplies!
The winter season is upon us and the Community Center is stocked with warm items for this unusually cold and wet Southern California winter. We are stocked with underwear, socks, gloves, hats, winter coats and fleece blankets!
Come in to the La Casa de San Gabriel Community Center to meet with staff.
