Backpack angels... and more!

2024 has been a busy year for Pillows & Plenty. We have worked hard to  focus on two groups:  Foster youth who are aging out of the system and homeless children in LA County.

We’ve been able to provide foster youth who are on their way to young adulthood and independence with gift cards throughout the year so they can purchase various necessities such as toiletries, clothes and school supplies. For the 2024 school year, we gave backpacks, jackets and cosmetic cases.

We have also connected with a local continuation high school working with homeless and low-income students. We’ve provided clothes, shoes, toiletries,  and gift cards to purchase food and other household necessities. In the spring, a couple of the students were to become parents, and we were able to provide  them with baby clothes, diapers and baby wipes.

Making sure these kids feel seen and supported 
is a huge tug in the right direction.
